Now that is a question! There is no one way to start a church but we do find that it is easier when you're not doing it alone!
We are assuming at this point that you are a pastor. If not, take a moment and review
"How Do I Become a Pastor?"
If you are looking at starting a church, there are several things to address that we can help with...
- How to set up tax exempt status
- How to learn about the people in the community you are being called to
- How to raise financial support
- How to have coaching and support during the process
- And many, many more things come to mind
But, before we get to all that, ask yourself....
Am I wanting to start a church because I have a God-given vision that I cannot shake or do I have another reason I am attempting this?
If you find it is any reason besides a God-given vision.... Do yourself a favor and click the "x" in the top right hand corner and forget it. It is hard, takes a lot of time, a tough skin, and a tender heart. If it is not God driven, it will not work!
If it is God driven, then touch base with us. Each vision is different and one on one coaching is more appropriate to help you with your personal plans of moving forward from this place.
Also, if it is the will of God and there is a match, then consider being a branch church of The Fellowship Tree for a larger community and not being in this all alone.
